Casey grew up with radio in his blood from early childhood. A native of Newton, KS, Casey has lived in Kansas his whole life.

His first radio job was in 1990 where he did the morning show for Bethel College's KBCU 88.1 FM. After attending the University of Kansas in the mid 1990s, he got his first commercial radio gig at now-sister station KHUT where he did weekends and fill-in work. He was moved to middays in summer of 1998 and then to afternoon drive in fall 1998. He was given music director duties in January of 2000 and held that position until My 93.1 went on the air on Christmas Day, 2002. From Day 1, Casey handled the majority of the programming duties, and began as morning drive host on July 1, 2003. He moved to afternoons in summer of 2004 to accomodate the arrival of Bob Walker in mornings, and has been there ever since. In spring of 2009, Casey was made Program Director and Operations of My 93.1 in addition to his music director duties for the station.

Casey grew up in Newton, KS, and lived in Hutchinson from 1998 to 2005. Casey now lives in northwest Wichita and commutes to Hutchinson every day. Casey's other passion is weather, and actually went to KU to be a meteorologist. Casey enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with his family and friends, and is an avid Kansas Jayhawk football and basketball fan.

Casey credits Greg Williams and JJ Morgan as two radio personalities and friends that have most influenced him in his career.
